The Canadian Forestry Association (CFA) is Canada’s oldest conservation
organization. For over 100 years it has advocated the protection and wise
use of Canada's forest, water and wildlife resources through public
awareness and education programs. By promoting sustainable forest
development, management and conservation, the CFA helps shape the future
of
Canada’s forest and nurtures our economic and environmental health.
The CFA is seeking to contract the services of a youth intern for a
four-month assignment to develop, implement and assess marketing and
business development strategies to increase public awareness of the CFA
that
will lead to new memberships and the development of strategic partnerships
for long-term sustainable funding.
The successful candidate will have a post-secondary degree and work
experience in event planning, marketing and promotion. Excellent
verbal and
written communication skills, work experience using Microsoft Access,
Excel,
Word, and Macromedia Dreamweaver are esssental. The candidate must have
demonstrated the ability to work independently, be multi-task oriented
and
capable of completing short-turnaround assignments to a defined schedule
of
milestones.

County Community Futures Development Corporation Youth Internship program,
and be available to commence work.
